We have helped around 100 companies secure HMRC Advance Assurance. Because the Sapphire group also works with SEIS and EIS funds every day, we understand the rules from both sides: what HMRC needs, and what investors and funds expect to see.

Senior people on every project

Our team has worked at PwC, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan in London, New York and Tokyo. Every project has a named senior lead, and the person you speak to on the first call is the person who does the work.

Fixed fees, clear deliverables

No hourly billing. Before any work starts you receive a short written scope, the fixed fee and the delivery date, so you know exactly what you are getting and when.

Honest advice

We will tell you what you need, and what you do not. If a service is not right for where you are, we will say so on the first call, even if that means we do not get the work.

Sapphire Business Advisers was founded by Vasiliki and Boyd Carson, who met in PwC’s M&A due diligence practice in New York. Between them they have more than 55 years in finance, across PwC, J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs.

That experience runs through the wider Sapphire group. Our sister firm, Sapphire Capital Partners LLP, has helped launch more than 50 venture funds since 2009. Working alongside fund managers and the companies they back gives us a rare, practical view of what makes investors say yes, and what slows a round down.
