The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) give UK investors tax relief when they buy new shares in qualifying early-stage companies. That relief makes your round more attractive to angel and fund investors. Advance Assurance is HMRC's view, given before you issue shares, that your company is likely to qualify. It is optional and not a guarantee, but many investors, and most SEIS and EIS funds, expect to see it before they invest.
